Mike Uhrich grew up is Casa Grande, AZ. He started playing piano at the age of 3. After church you could find him playing his primary songs from service with both hands. At the age of 5 he started lessons. That was a significant expense for the family as he was one of 8 siblings.

Mike was playing complex material by the time he was 8. Being accepted as a pupil under Maurice Cavenee was life changing. Maurice was well known and an accomplished virtuoso and teacher. She not only taught Mike how to play but how to truly connect with the music. Some lessons were just listening to record after record of Rachmaninoff. Years later he named one of his sons Rach in honor of his love for Maurice and Rachmaninoff.

Mike has played for many notables including Senator John McCain, retired former Vice President Dan Quayle, former AZ Secretary of State Michele Reagan, former US Representative Matt Salmon.

Mike's super power is composing. To meet someone once and capture the essence of them or a loved one and translate it into a song you want to listen to forever is a true gift.
